Congo Tetra - Phenacogrammus interruptus

The Congo Tetra is a stunning and elegant freshwater fish prized for its shimmering, iridescent colors and graceful fins. Native to the Congo River Basin in Africa, this tetra displays vibrant hues of blue, violet, and orange along its body, making it a true centerpiece for larger community aquariums.

Congo Tetras are peaceful schooling fish that thrive best in groups of six or more. When kept in a school, their colors intensify, and their flowing fins are displayed beautifully. They enjoy spacious aquariums with plenty of swimming room, dim lighting, and soft vegetation to mimic their natural environment.

Their care is relatively straightforward, making them suitable for aquarists with some experience. A varied diet of high-quality flakes, pellets, frozen, and live foods will ensure they maintain their health and striking coloration.

They came on time, actually earlier than expected, water was a great temp, all were happily swimming stress free in their shipment bags and have already started to show their color. I received very happy, active and healthy fish. Cant thank Ariel enough for recommending this place!
