Extra Large Dojo Loach - Misgurnus anguillicaudatus
The Dojo Loach is also known as the "Weather Loach" for their ability to predict the weather with their barometric pressure detection.
They make great additions to community fish tanks as they are very peaceful. They tolerate temperatures between 50-82 degrees, making them good tankmates for both tropical fish and coldwater fish such as goldfish.
Size is about 3" - 5".

Golden dojo
Love our new Floppy. He will be a great addition to our tank once he adapts more. Have a beautiful golden dojo named Finly who was literally suffering depression and loneliness. Have a couple of brown common dojo that have grown HUGE but my Finly has stayed slim and doesn't interact much. Was barely eating and swimming. Instant change introducing Floppy to his new home, although I think Floppy is feeling a bit intimidated. Came quickly once shipped as scheduled. Packed securely and robust and lively. Floppy is a blessing and this service was great. Have not been able to find a golden dojo in any fish stores in our area of Iowa and have been searching for months! Finley has black eyes and more pinkish and Floppy has more pinkish eyes and more gold color so it will be an extra being able to tell them easily apart as Floppy grows. Thank you!

Golden Dojo Loach
These things get to be larger than I've ever read in a magazine - mine have grown to 8-10" in about 3-5 months. But they are skinny so they don't take up that much room in the tank. Unless you want to annoy peaceful fish put them in a tank with other highly active fish - or ones that won't be bothered by it. Mine all LOVE the air sprinklers and will park themselves at the bottom then "launch" up into the air, swim down to the bottom and do it again. (all my loaches do this) they will politely take turns. I have a tank with 4 in it now and it is pure chaos. They love to dig up everything, and fly around the cage faster than any fish I've seen. Then they'll settle down for a nap for a few hours. I truly enjoy these fish more than any other fish I own but they do annoy other species. They'll break up a flock of tetras, run into a resting gourami, eat and dig up all your plants and just generally cause as much destruction as they can. They are completely peaceful fish - just playful.
