Hands-on aquascaping workshop by Pet Zone Tropical Fish team plus guests get to build along with instructor ($25 fee; includes rimless tank, substrate, hardscape & plant). Get your hands wet and learn directly with us as we show you all the proper steps on how to aquascape a new planted tank. The tank and all the aquascape materials + plants are yours to keep after the workshop!

This will be held on Saturday, Dec. 21st at our Convoy District/Kearny Mesa location at 4160 Convoy St (located inside Convoy Plaza), just a couple blocks south of Balboa Ave). Starts at 5:00pm until 6:00pm.

A Great Start for New and Returning Hobbyist!

I've been debating for a while to get back into fish keeping. Its been quite a few years, but I always catch myself on YouTube and Instagram doing research

This workshop was a great start to get inspired again. It was affordable and informative. Brian did a great job informing us and able to answer many of our questions. He was patient, kind and understanding.

The best part was being able to take what you created home. Such a great deal! Definitely, looking into other workshops and will recommend to those who are interested. It is always nice to support local business.

Took my son to the workshop. He enjoyed his first hands-on aquascaping workshop. Instructor went over great information on how to start "pro-level" aquarium. Nice quality material including the plants. The tank started as a "dry-start" method and we just placed water yesterday. Plants are looking nice! Definitely would recommend this to any beginner aquarist who is interested in starting a planted aquarium. The staff are really knowledgeable, helpful, and awesome.
