Assorted Male Guppy – Live Freshwater Fish

Product Overview:

The Assorted Male Guppy (Poecilia reticulata) is a lively and colorful fish that adds a burst of personality to any aquarium. Known for their vibrant colors and striking tail patterns, male guppies are a favorite among aquarium enthusiasts. This assortment includes a variety of beautiful color combinations and fin shapes, making them a perfect choice for anyone looking to create a dynamic and colorful display in their tank.

Key Features:

  • Vibrant Colors: Assorted male guppies are known for their dazzling array of colors, including shades of red, blue, orange, yellow, and green. Each guppy is unique, ensuring a diverse and eye-catching aquarium display.
  • Striking Tail Fin Patterns: The males have beautiful, often elaborate tail fin patterns, including lyretail, delta, and fan-shaped fins, making them visually appealing.
  • Active and Social: Male guppies are highly active swimmers that interact with each other and their environment. They are also very social and do well in groups, bringing constant movement and energy to the aquarium.
  • Small Size: Typically growing to around 1.5 to 2 inches in length, guppies are perfect for small to medium-sized aquariums.
  • Hardy and Easy to Care For: Guppies are ideal for both beginner and experienced fish keepers. They tolerate a wide range of water conditions and are low-maintenance, making them an excellent choice for anyone new to the hobby.

Care Requirements:

  • Tank Size: Minimum of 10 gallons for a group of 5-6 male guppies. Larger tanks allow for a more stable environment and more space for the guppies to swim.
  • Water Parameters:
    • Temperature: 72°F to 82°F (22°C to 28°C)
    • pH: 6.8 to 7.8 (slightly acidic to slightly alkaline)
    • Hardness: Soft to moderately hard water (5–15 dGH)
  • Tank Setup: Provide a well-planted aquarium with plenty of hiding spots and open swimming space. Guppies thrive in environments with soft, fine substrate and gentle filtration.
  • Diet: Male guppies are omnivores and will enjoy a varied diet of high-quality flake food, small pellets, and occasional live or frozen foods such as brine shrimp, daphnia, or bloodworms.
  • Breeding: Male guppies are livebearers and can breed with females in the tank. If you wish to prevent breeding, it’s best to keep only males or add only one male per several females to reduce aggression.

Why Choose Assorted Male Guppy?

  • Colorful and Dynamic: These fish are a vibrant and constantly moving addition to your aquarium, adding visual interest and beauty with their ever-changing colors and patterns.
  • Peaceful Community Fish: Guppies are peaceful and do well with a variety of tankmates, including small tetras, mollies, and corydoras. They are an excellent choice for community tanks.
  • Low Maintenance: Their hardiness and tolerance for different water conditions make them a perfect choice for beginner hobbyists.
  • Quick Growth and Easy Care: Guppies are fast-growing, adaptable, and require little more than regular feeding and basic water maintenance.

Ideal For:

  • Community Tanks: Male guppies do well with a variety of other peaceful fish and invertebrates, making them ideal for mixed-species aquariums.
  • Aquascaping: With their vibrant colors and active nature, they add movement and life to aquascaped tanks.
  • Beginners: Easy to care for and maintain, guppies are a great starter fish for new aquarium enthusiasts.
