Orange Volcano Rabbit Snail (Tylomelania sp)
Like all snails in the Tylomelania genus, these snails are found in the Sulawesi Islands of Indonesia! These snails have bright orange bodies that contrast their dark shells, and are known for their inquisitive personalities. They are substrate burrowers, and will help aerate aquarium substrate. They do well with peaceful tankmates and only reproduce one offspring at a time, making them unlikely to overcrowd your tank.

I ordered 4 of these nine months ago and was genuinely surprised at how active they are! I assumed these would be pure orange with a black shell; however, these are more like black shells with black and magma orange skin. Pretty cool patterns! What's interesting, though, is there have not been any babies. I'm unsure if they are all one gender or if some other factor is playing a part. That's the luck of the draw, though, haha. I'm delighted with my purchase and will buy more rabbit snails from this place in the future!
