Teugelsi Bichir - Polypterus Teugelsi
The Teugelsi Bichir is one of the rare Bichirs in the fish keeping hobby as they aren't seen often. They were discovered in more recent times (1988) and weren't introduced to the hobby until 2004.
Known as one of the "prehistoric" fish, this fish has existed for many years and have the ability to adapt and survive out of water for periods of time. They will grow to a max size of about 16".
Size is currently around 3" or so.
