The Diamond Tetra, scientifically known as Moenkhausia pittieri, belongs
to the Characidae family. Originating from Venezuela, these dazzling
freshwater fish are admired for their diamond-shaped scales and
iridescent coloration, adding a touch of elegance to aquariums. While
detailed information on their genome and evolution line might be
limited, they are renowned for their peaceful temperament and
suitability for community tanks.
