Otocinclus Catfish - Otocinclus sp. (Macrotocinclus affinis / Otocinclus affinis)
The Otocinclus Catfish, commonly known as Otos or Oto Cat. These little Loricariidae cats are one of the smallest you can find in the hobby and does a fantastic job cleaning algae in an aquarium. Even aquascaping experts love the cleaning ability of the Oto as they are safe for planted aquariums.
Size is about 3/4" to 1".

Oto perfection
I ordered 12 of these guys. All arrived alive with nice round bellies. They seem very well cared for prior to shipment. Right now I have 6 in two different tanks and I really enjoy watching them zoom around munching/playing.
Absolutely great packaging for shipment and even with the heatwave in Northern CA, the temp in the bags was acceptable which I assume was because of the quality and care put into the shipment box.
Customer service via phone was top notch!

Great Care
I ordered my fish a few months back and knew COVID would effect how quickly I would receive them. Emailed back and forth several time to see if I could get an update and was asked to call. So I called and just asked for an ETA, got my Otos to me the next day. They were very active and healthy looking, on top of that, every single one managed to make it to me alive, I’m going to assume this is from the care they took in the store and in packing them.

Excellent experience this time around in regards to protocols which is important to us as we are high risk and been staying out of public. I am glad I gave them a 3rd chance as the first two were not so good (didn't feel safe). This time the young man was courteous, professional, respected us by keeping him and us safe the entire time. Friendly from first phone call to last phone call to picking them up in person. Rare at this store so it was just really nice to have a good comfortable experience. Thank you... One fish passed away within hours after getting it :( , but the other two are thriving and seem to be content in their new home. :)
